Brien Andrews President/CEO

“How can I help the youth of today become the best they can be and teach them how to live healthy lifestyles?” This is the question that President and CEO Brien Andrews asked and the vision Urban Alliance, Inc. (UAI) was birthed. Brien, an accomplished musician, was able to see that society benefits greatly from communication by way of reading, exercise, music, dance, and drama. In February of 2004 he formed a committee of individuals that are faithful in managing and promoting this vision. The healthy development of young people’s minds, bodies and souls is the way Urban Alliance, Inc. a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization will encourage and empower youth and young adults. Urban Alliance, Inc. will change the lives of many youth and young adults by implementing powerful life skill, character development and healthy living programs. UAI seeks to give youth and young adults a chance to discover a multitude of learning opportunities by way of programs under the S.O.A.R. umbrella. Our mission is to create a positive and rich environment with a wealth of information on living healthy mind, body and soul.

UAI has developed many programs that will ultimately eradicate issues that have a negative effect on the minority population and more specifically the African American community. THE S.O.A.R. program promotes SUCCESS, OPPORTUNITIES, AWARENESS AND RESPONSIBILITY, by fighting for better health and increased literacy.

KNOWLEDGENOWORWHEN NEEDEDA comprehensive program that develops life skills, sex education, responsible decision-making and human development.
LEADERSHIP EDUCATION ACTIVITY NUTRITIONA comprehensive health program that focuses on childhood obesity, by promoting healthy lifestyles through nutrition activity and positive body image.
MOVINGWITHMUSICFocuses on childhood obesity and the importance of healthy eating and daily exercise. It is designed to be a curriculum-based program that will be introduced and taught to various school systems to be taught on a daily basis.

LEADERS READA mentoring program where leaders from the music industry, educators and other various professions visit schools in the Metropolitan Atlanta area schools to read and empower our youth to continue their education.

SHOWING LOVE THROUGH GIVING BENEFIT CONCERTEvery year Urban Alliance, Inc. continues to help make a difference in the lives of youth affected by health, literacy and personal needs. We select families from the Atlanta Metropolitan area that have the greatest need and bless them during the Holiday Season with donations from various sponsors, during our Showing Love Through Giving Benefit Concert.There are several opportunities for your ministry to participate in this event, all offering great promotional benefits. When you join us in this event, your ministry will be included in our newspaper advertising, our website, event banners and event flyers that will be placed at local retail outlets and more.We welcome the opportunity to speak with you if there are other ways that your ministry would like to participate. The Urban Alliance Resource Center will provide a wealth of information on minority health issues. It will also encompass after-school programs, state of the art meeting and conference rooms, a gymnasium and a school of music.

Scholarship Fund
Education is the great equalizer. With the proper knowledge, resources and contacts, young people will have the chance to succeed as well as change the world. Realizing this, UAI will offer college scholarship funding for any student that desires to further their education.
